Privacy policy
Watering Day collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code in the app. It makes no network requests of its own.
Your plants, photos and history live on your device and sync through your own private iCloud, which I have no access to. I cannot see your data, and I could not hand it over to anyone if I were asked.

01What the app stores
Everything you type into Watering Day is kept in a database on your device: your plants and the rooms you put them in, how often each one is watered or fed, when you last did it, how dry the soil should be, your notes, the photos you add, and the history of waterings, skips and schedule changes.
Your settings — reminder time, seasonal schedule on or off, hemisphere, haptics — are stored on the device too.
That is the complete list. There is no field anywhere in the app for your name, your email address or your location.
02Sync
If you are signed into iCloud, Watering Day mirrors that database to your own private iCloud database so your plants appear on your other devices. Photos sync the same way, as files attached to those records.
A private iCloud database is readable only by you, on devices signed into your Apple Account. Apple does not expose its contents to developers, so I cannot read, retrieve, or delete anything in it. There is no server of mine anywhere in this: no account is created, and nothing is sent to frekvens.ai.
Turning iCloud off for Watering Day in iOS Settings stops the syncing; the app keeps working, on that device alone. Apple's handling of iCloud data is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
03Notifications
Reminders are built and delivered entirely on your device, scheduled against the dates the app has already worked out. No notification is sent from a server, and nothing about your plants is transmitted in order to produce one.
The app does declare a background mode for remote notifications. That is used by iCloud to signal that your data changed on another device so the app can refresh. It is not marketing push — Watering Day has no way to send you a message.
04Camera and photos
Watering Day asks for camera access only when you choose to take a photo of a plant, and only then. If you pick an existing image instead, iOS shows you its own photo picker: the app receives just the picture you selected and never gains access to your library.
Photos are stored with the plant they belong to and sync through your private iCloud like everything else. They are not uploaded anywhere else, not processed by any service, and not used to identify anything.
No other permissions are requested at all: no location, no contacts, no microphone, no health data.
05What the app does not do
- No analytics, usage tracking or crash-reporting service.
- No advertising, no ad identifier, and no tracking permission prompt — because there is nothing to track.
- No third-party SDKs or libraries of any kind. The app has no external dependencies.
- No account, no sign-up, no password, no email address collected.
- No network requests written by me. The app talks to nothing but Apple's own sync.
- No data sold, shared, rented or transferred to anyone. There is none to sell.
06What Apple sees
Watering Day is distributed through the App Store, so Apple handles the download and may give me aggregated, anonymous statistics — how many people downloaded the app in a country, which iOS versions are in use, crash counts. None of it identifies anyone, and none of it contains anything about your plants.
The app may occasionally ask you to rate it, using Apple's standard prompt. That prompt is handled entirely by iOS: I am not told whether you rated it, or what you said.
07Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes everything stored on that device. To remove the synced copy as well, go to iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Watering Day and delete the data there.
You do not need to ask me to erase anything, and there is no request form, because I hold nothing to erase. If you make a request under the GDPR, the CCPA or any similar law, the honest and complete answer is that the set of data I hold about you is empty.
08Children
Watering Day is not directed at children, and it collects no personal information from anyone regardless of age. There is nothing in the app that transmits information about its user.
09Changes to this policy
If the app ever starts doing something this page does not describe, this page changes first, and the revision date at the top changes with it. The current version always lives at this address.
